Kit and Carol on the Road

Next Wednesday we are off on our fall trip with Ida. Going to Idaho. No plans yet except to head south and east and hopefully get away from this perpetually rainy weather. We plan to stay mostly in public parks so you may not hear about the trip until we are home.

Our friends Richard and Christine were here for a little over a week at the end of August. We picked them up at the airport in Vancouver and had an "interesting" time getting over the border. We mostly stayed on Guemes but got out for a few outings. Went up to Baker Lake where we had never been (even though it's not far away). Did a hike at Sears Bluff. Took a ferry to Port Townsend. Walked the beach at Deception Pass.

The sauna has been complete for some time. We've used it once but right now the weather is too warm. Kirsten used it as a guest house in her short visit home. Kit has also put on the gutters which don't show up in these photos.
