Heading Home via Nelson
Monday we headed home with a detour to Nelson as I previously wrote. Here are some ferry photos. These are the last photos I took on the trip. Too bad. Tuesday we had a nice drive along Hwy 3 to Osoyos and then back to the US and home over Hwy 20. Made the 7:45 ferry home--after a grocery shop stop.
Sunday hike and hot tub
Sunday we went up to Radium Hot Springs for another hike. (Surprise--we saw the Bighorn sheep) This path through forest and meadows also had some good wetland views. After the hike we headed to the hot tub pools for an afternoon soak. Too bad I took no photos of the pools.
Hills and Hoodoos
After the wetlands view we tromped up a hilly hike to what they call the hoodoos. Lunch with a great view. Clouds still cover the Rockies.
Wildflowers and Wetlands
On Saturday we went on a hike with Kirsten to overlook the wetlands that are the headwaters of the Columbia River. There were lots of wildflowers on the way and we tried to photograph them all.

Road trip cont.
I can't use the iPhone in Canada except where we have WiFi like this hotel in Nelson. We had 2 days and 3 nights with Kirsten in Invermere. Did some hikes and the pool at Radium Hot Springs. Taking a side trip on the way home to visit Nelson. Nelson is the Port Townsend of BC. Took a free 30 minute ferry to get here. The free is different than PT. It was like cruising in Alaska. Coming back on Hwy 3. Home in a couple days. Post pictures then
