Pete and Jen are visiting Tucson but not staying with us. Today we all went to the Desert Museum and had a great time. Was not hot but not cold either.

Good fortune
About a month ago I added yet another activity to my busy schedule. I have become addicted to Mah Jongg . Today I won 4 games ( out of 5 played). Should have bought a lottery ticket. But good fortune does not always mean a clear head. I then proceeded to leave my swimsuit in the shower

Don and Anne have been in Tucson for a week. We went on a short hike in the National Park today. It was really cold and windy today. Winter returned

Snow in Tucson
As the weatherman predicted it began snowing at noon today. If you look closely you can see snowfall on our street and on the agaves across the street. Not much but it is snow

#2 guests
Richard and Chris arrived Sunday pm and left this morning. Yesterday we went hiking up the Catalina on the Bug Spring trail. Nice hiking day. Then we came back for some hot tub time and ballroom dance class

First guests
Fred and Sue drove down Friday and joined us for the eve. They are on their way home fromPatagonia with a roundabout through SoCal and AZ. Saturday morning we had a short hike in the National Park. This photo was taken at the Visitor Center before they left. We lucked out with good weather

Hike day.
Colder weather coming so had to get out and hike today. I've been having knee and hip troubles so have to take it easy and keep hikes under 5 miles when hills are involved. Around Tucson every hike is up and down-- the downs are not the easy part. Today we went up the Agua Caliente trail. No agua in sight. Nice hike though

Gem show
It's February--Rock Mineral Gem show month. We went out to explore the most accessible venue. Ton of rocks. Plus bushels of beads. And assorted stuff. I got a rock-- not this giant one-- and Kit found a roadrunner. At least it wasn't raining this year
