Guemes mountain

We have been home for a couple weeks and finally I had time to climb the mountain. Beautiful spring day-- the wildflowers amazing and views of the Olympics!

Home/ Rain

We got home Friday mid day. Stopped in Oregon to see Mom, Kit's sister Milli, our new great nephew Max and his parents. We have quickly settled into Guemes life. We may be staying here for awhile. Kit can't remember where he put the motor home keys. Yesterday was a fine outside day but today is a cold rainy sauna day

U Green

What a treat to be surrounded by green again. Green and water-- though we hear this is the driest spring on record in Eugene. Drove to Oregon today. Staying in Eugene. Keeping to our trip theme of brewpubs we had lunch today at McMennamins in Roseburg and dinner at the Steelhead. This photo was taken at Pisgah where we stopped to hike on our way into town. Long time since we've been here.

California

Crossed in CA today. Desert still green and yellow til almost to Needles where we stopped for lunch at Subway again. Took turns driving. Came to Viselia early enough but spent an hour looking for a motel. How do all those people without RVs deal with finding a motel and restaurant EVERY night?? Anyway we found a nice place. Visalia has a nice downtown with diagonal parking and lots of pubs and restaurants. I chose Mexican for the music and ambiance and food was good too

Easter in London?

We left Tucson at 10:20 after I did my Jamaica program for the Sunday social. I dreaded heading out to Quartzite--the most desolate desert-- but it was really beautiful with brittlebrush blooming and also paloverde and creosote adding to the palette of yellow and green. Plus there were small bits of red ocotillo. We stopped for the night in Lake Havasu which was a very pleasant surprise. This was the view of London Bridge from the brewpub where we had dinner. Enjoyed pleasant walking along the water after months along dry washes
