Kit and Carol on the Road

The day after we arrived home the big storm arrived.  Not only the rain we expected but winds the like of which we might see in November but never August.  Lots of branches down everywhere and a few trees as well.  Part of the island lost electricity for 3 days but luckily we did not lose ours.  Now we have returned to typical fall weather: cool crisp mornings and sunny afternoons.  We also get our high tides in the afternoon--just when I am craving a beach walk.
