On the move

This is the first November since 2008 (we think) that we have been on the island . Our daughter is here for Thanksgiving. I am moving around a bit more though the walks around the block are rare. I am still using a cane, learning to walk all over again. The doctor has freed me to travel but my knee gets stiff sitting for extended periods of time. So I will be flying to Tucson from Seattle (non stop in 3 hours) and Kit will drive the Subaru down in 3 or 4 days. Next Wednesday was the first day I could get on a flight.
I have a long way to go to being "normal". My PT says think months not weeks. But I am looking forward to the sun, more walking on flat roads, and esp the pool and hot tub.

November has not been a bad month. We've had some rain and some wind. But with our newly enhanced view I have enjoyed watching the surf pound on the beach, the eagles soaring over the mountain, and the variety of commercial boat traffic that passes by. It's fine when you are sitting indoors by the fire.
