Back on the bike
After many months of stationary exercise bike I am back on my real bike. Yesterday we rode to the end of the trail on the east side of Pantano wash (with a few detours =7.5 mi ). The trail on the west side is the newest part of the 60 mile loop around Tucson but not up to that even without new knee. Was going out again today but very blustery wind
Another Eclipse
I am REALLy behind. Wanted to write about our second eclipse of the year but kept waiting for a photo which is still on Kit's camera. We got up at 5 am on January 31 for the total eclipse of the moon. It was pretty awesome and we could see it from the street in front of our house. It really was reddish at totality.
Alas it proved to be an unlucky omen. That day my brother in law Steve in Michigan slipped on the ice, hit his head, and died rather soon after. My sister Laura is now coping with aloneness. It was very unsettling for us all.
