Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was cloudy but we did a nice bike ride (14mi) on the newest part of the Loop where I had not yet been. We call this chaise lounge park :)

Long day home

Decided to push on to Tucson. 10 hour day but not bad traffic. Got to our place about 5. Saving house cleaning and unpacking for tomorrow.

Worst of California

Friday we spent on 99 and 58. Horrid driving. Ended up in Barstow. Nice hotel with exercise room but had to drive to dinner. Found an Italian restaurant with great food and paper placemats !!

Sacramento

The traffic gods deserted us as did our cheap Subaru gps. Kit had to drive all day as I didn't sleep much last night. We stopped in Lodi at the Budget Inn. No amenities. No restaurant next door. But drove a short ways into town to a very nice brewpub. We have the bikes in our room. Someone tried to steal Kit's last nite in Medford.

California burns

Lots of fires in CA last summer. Along the northern part of I5 they are busy clearing out dead trees down to the highway.

Whizzing through Oregon

The traffic gods have been with us. No slow down going through Portland. Didn't stop to visit anyone.
After lunch when it was my turn to drive the weather was spitty with lots of trucks and hills and curves. Glad to stop in Medford after 323 miles.
People at motel were of our generation and had left their costumes in their childhood. 🎃
