Halfway home

We have been in Nevada long enough and tomorrow will be in Idaho and Oregon. We have spent the last 2 nights in 2 exceptionally nice Hampton Inn's. The one in Henderson not only had free breakfast but free lasagna and wine the night before. this morning our GPS decided the close freeway was closed and sent us south and west on a loop road and up 15 right past the outrageous Las Vegas Strip. I love Hwy 93 through Nevada. Nice road, lovely scenery of desert, and mountains and virtually no traffic. We found out why when we decided to take the back road shortcut and found ourselves in a parade of trucks and cars. Turned around and took the slightly longer but much nicer 93. So because of that and some construction we were 2 hours "late" so stopped in the nowhere place of Wells Nevada.

Desert sunsets

Two miserable 95 degree days rewarded us with gorgeous Arizona sunsets. (sorry no photos provided).
Last night around the pool we had an Easter eve service --Bible readings and songs. A counterpoint to Sunrise services in another life. It was organized by residents and social distancing was largely achieved.
Tonight we had a going away party around the pool. A Hawaiian theme with food and a dance show. I have learned it's impossible to do hula with a stiff knee. It was nice but forget the 6 feet apart and mask wearing with 200 people present and long food lines. It worked well for us--not having to cook on our last night. Tomorrow morning we head north to cooler climes.
