Nature Center

On Saturday while Kit was doing bike stuff I went fabric shopping. On Sunday we went to the brand new Dungeness River Nature Center (lots of info about the watershed and lots of stuffed critters who live there). It is near the Railroad bridge across the river. The river used to go under the bridge until a storm in 2014 moved the channel so they had to make the bridge longer. It's part of the bike trail system on the Olympic Peninsula.

Sequim trip

We stayed in a lovely room on Marine Drive near Dungeness Bay. Tides were high so we didn't get to the beach until late afternoon. Thankfully it did not rain our whole weekend. Sequim is in the rain shadow so has much less rain than most of the state.
Our room had a very nice fireplace (real wood kind) which we did enjoy. It also had an ugly pink instrument of torture in the bathroom. It is supposed to be a jetted tub for two.

Finally going somewhere

Kit had to go to Sequim to talk to some people about a program called Cycling without age which uses these strange 3 wheeled bikes to get shut in seniors out into the world. So we made it a weekend. President's Day weekend actually. Out on Saturday. Home on Monday.
