Imperfect Fall Poem

In New England for the colors
Hope for leaves of reds and yellows
Shades of gray color the sky
And the rivers roaring by
But the leaves are mostly green
Not the perfect autumn scene
Here and there a splash of flame
Such as spreads New Englands fame
Mostly yellows turning brown
Wind and rain will bring them down
Now the colors blanket earth
Waiting for the leaves' rebirth....
