Kit and Carol on the Road

Our internet is finally working so hopefully I can post some pictures from our trip.  (taken with the "real" camera)  We had perfect weather.   The ferry ride was lovely.  By the time we arrived at Rosario it was dinner time.  Thursday we did a hike around Cascade Lake in the State Park.  Drove to Olga for lunch (and to visit the dock where we stopped 40 years ago) and then up Mt. Constitution.  The view is grand but it was a bit too smoky and Mt. Baker was veiled.  Back to the hot tub.  No time before dinner to just lounge on our deck.  Friday we explored Eastsound--the only "town" on the island and still quite crowded with tourists.  There is a very time historical museum which we explored--and then got a sandwich to eat on the beach.  Drove down to Westsound but not a parking place there to be found.  Not enough time to drive to Deer Harbor.   Luckily the view from the ferry line at Orcas has an awesome view and lots of picnic tables.
