Washington Coast

We spent Tuesday night at Pacific Beach State Park on the Washington Coast. What a surprise. The price for a site with no privacy and only Electric (no water) was $40. But oh the views. This is the only state park we know which is right on the beach. Our campsite was just a few feet from the beach and the views were panoramic. Alas it was cloudy so no gorgeous sunset. Wednesday we drove down the peninsula and checked out another State Park at Ocean City which we didn't like at all so luckily didn't land there. I wanted to go to Ocean Shores which I have heard much about but never have been there. It wasn't as tacky as we thought it might be--and I found a fabric shop. The best though was the Interpretive Center. Kit thought it was over done but I loved it--something about almost everything. Spent over an hour there before heading again inland to Mima Mounds and then Olympia.
