Kit and Carol on the Road

The year has turned but I thought I should put in a few words about our escape back to winter. We got to cut our own tree and I am leaving decorations up until just before we leave. Kirsten came home for 4 days at Christmas and it was fun having her here. We had 2 winter bonfires--burning some of last year's blowdown on Kirsten's lot ...and for our New Year's Eve burn --the branches that blew down in our yard this year. We've had a few social occasions --including a Chamber Music concert the weekend before Christmas and New Years Eve dinner last night with Bob and Omi. None of that midnight stuff for us. Mostly we have enjoyed "hibernating" .
