Kit and Carol on the Road

Forecast was for snow today. Didn't see much of the actual stuff falling from the sky but there was a trace by the roadside most of the way. Scenery was pretty awesome with snow on the mountains. It was dang cold though--luckily I had my puffy coat. Made sandwiches at a rest area--on the lee side of picnic shelter --but ate in the car.
Driving through Salt Lake is always a bear but at least we didn't have to get off the freeway here. Couldn't see the tabernacle--Kit says they're built up around it.
We knew exactly where we were going--a motel in the small temple town of Brigham City which is next to the police station. But with THREE GPS's and watching road signs we (I, the navigator) totally missed the exits for Brigham City so had to double back 16 miles (total) to find the town. Nice hotel--this one a Hampton Inn. Take away at a cafe not far down the street. Getting sick of take away sandwiches.
